Avocado Irrigation Workshop

September 28 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Avocado is primarily grown in Southern and Central California. These regions face uncertain water supplies, mandatory reductions of water use, and the rising cost of water, while efficient use of irrigation water is one of the highest conservation priorities. This training workshop aims to focus on irrigation management related issues including drought and heat effects; irrigation management tools and information under development in California avocados; mapping salinity and strategies for managing salinity; water costs and planting density; and supporting programs for avocado growers.
