Regenerative Agriculture Field Day – Healthy Soil, Healthy People, Healthy Planet

January 12, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm

The evolution of the soil is much like that of any living being. Within it, we find an incredibly large number of living organisms all necessary to the essential functions of humans, ecosystems and life itself. Studies continue to demonstrate the relationship between soil and human health. Come and learn how the key to improving human health is determined both by what we eat and how the food we eat is produced and discovering that it does indeed require shifting to a regenerative model that incorporates whole systems organic agriculture principles for optimal nutrition on all levels of our food systems.

The pre-conference field day at Rodale Institute and McGrath Family Farm will give attendees the opportunity to gain knowledge about soil health and food health relationships. How organic farming can regenerate soil heath and microbial populations and increasing nutrient density including antioxidants and micronutrients, such as vitamin C, zinc, and iron of the food generated with this system.

Join us for a hands on field day in SoCal with expert Rodale soil scientist Dr. Arianna Bozzolo, author Liz Carlisle, author Dr. John La Puma and a team of knowledgeable farmers for a conversation on soil health backed by science that defines the soil and human health connection. “Without fertile soil there is no life, without fertile soil there is no future. The future will not be of concrete, asphalt, glass and metals,” as Pope Francis reminds us.

$85 (includes lunch at McGrath Family Farm)

Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to McGrath Family Farm. Carpooling is encouraged.
